Staff, Agency Receive Community Awards
SCS and staff have recently been honored with awards from the community. Cathy Speelmon, Manager of the Chemical Dependency Program, received an award for outstanding service promoting health & wellness among gay / bisexual men by the Center for LGBT Health. The Washington State Mr. & Ms. Leather Organization presented SCS's Project NEON with a Community Service Award during their annual Emerald Leather Awards Brunch.

SCS Set to Expand Facility
With continually greater need for chemical dependency and mental health services to our community, SCS has been bursting at the seams for some time now. We are pleased to announce the recent acquisition of 3,000 square feet of additional office space to accommodate our growing programs.

Donors Make Project a Reality
Recently, SCS received significant donations to complete some large-scale projects. Long Painting Company generously donated over $15,000 worth of labor and paint to complete the interior painting project. Also funded by a grant from the Employees Community Fund of Boeing, the new paint makes SCS rooms and walls clean and beautiful.
